Frequently Asked Questions
How do we reserve our wedding date?
To officially reserve your wedding date, we require a signed agreement and a 50% deposit. Once those are completed, your date is secured and we begin planning your entertainment experience.
We understand every couple’s situation is different, so if you need a more flexible payment option, we’re happy to work with you.
Can we place a temporary hold on our wedding date?
Yes. We can hold your wedding date for up to one week while you finalize your decision. After that period, the date will be released if a signed agreement and deposit have not been received.
Do you offer online booking?
At the moment, we guide couples through a consultation first so we can understand your vision, music preferences, and timeline.
After our consultation, we send a proposal and agreement so you can secure your date electronically.
How far in advance should we book our wedding DJ?
Most couples book 8–12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season between May and October.
However, if your wedding is approaching soon, reach out—we occasionally still have availability for last-minute celebrations.

What makes Dream Entertainment different from other DJs?
Dream Entertainment is built on experience, passion, and professionalism.
DJ Dream grew up surrounded by music—his father was the lead singer for Santana, which created a deep appreciation for music and performance from an early age.
In addition to DJing, DJ Dream has a background in ministry and public speaking, which brings a polished and engaging style to MC hosting. This allows us to guide events smoothly while keeping the energy high.
Most importantly, our focus is not just playing music—it’s creating unforgettable experiences.
We also specialize in multicultural weddings and extended celebrations, including multi-day events such as traditional Indian wedding festivities and other cultural celebrations.
Do you take guest song requests?
Yes. We welcome guest requests as long as they fit within the music preferences you’ve shared with us.
Our goal is to keep the dance floor full while respecting your musical vision.
Equipment & Reliability
What happens if equipment fails?
We come prepared with backup equipment for all critical systems, including sound and DJ gear.
Professional redundancy ensures that your celebration continues smoothly without interruption.
Do you bring backup gear?
Yes. Backup equipment is part of our standard setup so we’re prepared for any situation.
Logistics & Event Setup
How early do you arrive for setup?
We typically arrive 3 to 4 hours before guest arrival.
This allows plenty of time for:
• Equipment setup
• Sound checks
• Lighting configuration
• Coordination with other vendors
Do you require a vendor meal?
Yes. Because we are typically on-site for many hours, we kindly request a vendor meal so we can remain energized and focused on delivering a great experience for you and your guests.
How much space do you need for your DJ setup?
We typically require 8–12 feet wide by 8–12 feet deep for our DJ booth and equipment.
If space is limited at your venue, we’re happy to coordinate a setup that works best for the room layout.
How many weddings have you DJ’d?
DJ Dream has performed at 200+ weddings since beginning his wedding DJ career in 2013.
This experience allows us to anticipate event flow, read the crowd, and create celebrations where guests stay on the dance floor.
Why are some wedding DJs cheaper than others?
Wedding DJ pricing can vary significantly, and it usually comes down to experience and equipment quality.
Some DJs are just starting out and may use entry-level gear or have limited experience hosting weddings. More established DJs invest in professional-grade sound systems, lighting, backup equipment, and planning tools to ensure a smooth and polished experience.
At Dream Entertainment, we focus on delivering a premium experience, using reliable, high-quality equipment and years of event experience to make sure your celebration runs seamlessly from start to finish.
Do DJs take breaks during the reception?
We keep the music and energy going throughout your reception. The only time we typically step away briefly is during dinner service, when background music is playing and guests are focused on their meals.
Even during that time, music continues playing so there are no silent moments during your celebration.
Can you coordinate with our photographer, videographer, and planner?
Absolutely.
Coordination between vendors is essential to creating a smooth and enjoyable wedding experience. We regularly work with photographers, videographers, wedding planners, and venue coordinators to ensure key moments like entrances, toasts, and special dances happen at the perfect time.
Strong communication between vendors helps make your event feel effortless and well organized.
What happens if the DJ gets sick or there is an emergency?
While this situation is extremely rare, Dream Entertainment always plans ahead.
We have experienced backup DJs within the Dream Entertainment team who are familiar with our style, standards, and approach to weddings. If an emergency were to occur, a qualified member of our team would step in to ensure your celebration continues exactly as planned.
Your wedding day is too important to leave anything to chance.
Do you carry liability insurance?
Yes. Dream Entertainment carries $2 million in liability insurance.
Many venues require DJs and vendors to provide proof of insurance, and we are happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) if your venue requests it.
How do you keep the dance floor packed?
A great DJ does more than just play songs. DJ Dream reads the crowd, blends music across genres and generations, and understands how to build energy throughout the night.
By combining your music preferences with professional crowd-reading experience, we create an atmosphere where guests feel comfortable celebrating and the dance floor stays active.

The 5 Biggest Mistakes Couples Make When Hiring a Wedding DJ
Your wedding DJ plays a huge role in the success of your celebration. The right DJ keeps the energy high, the timeline flowing smoothly, and your guests on the dance floor.
Unfortunately, many couples unknowingly make mistakes when choosing their DJ. Here are
five common mistakes to avoid when hiring wedding entertainment.
Choosing a DJ Based Only on Price
One of the biggest mistakes couples make is choosing the lowest-priced DJ without understanding what they’re getting.
Lower-cost DJs may have:
• Limited wedding experience
• Entry-level equipment
• Little or no backup gear
• Minimal event coordination experience
Your DJ is responsible for guiding the entire reception, so choosing someone experienced can make a huge difference in the success of the evening.
At Dream Entertainment, we focus on delivering an exceptional experience, not just playing music.
Hiring a DJ Who Doesn’t Act as the MC
Many DJs only play music, but a wedding DJ should also be a confident and professional MC.
Your DJ should be able to guide the evening through:
• Grand entrance
• First dance
• Toasts
• Cake cutting
• Special moments throughout the reception
DJ Dream’s background in
ministry and public speaking brings a polished hosting style that helps the entire evening flow naturally.
Not Asking About Backup Equipment
Technical issues can happen at any event.
Professional DJs always bring backup equipment to ensure the celebration continues without interruption.
At Dream Entertainment, we bring backup gear for all essential equipment, so your event is always protected.
Not Planning the Music in Advance
A wedding DJ should never just “show up and wing it.”
Your DJ should have a system that allows you to plan:
• Ceremony music
• Special dances
• Key moments
• Music preferences
Dream Entertainment uses
Vibo DJ, which allows couples to easily plan their music and timeline in one place.
Hiring a DJ Who Doesn’t Coordinate With Other Vendors
Your DJ works closely with your:
• Wedding planner
• Photographer
• Videographer
• Venue coordinator
Without proper coordination, important moments can feel rushed or disorganized.
An experienced wedding DJ ensures everyone is working together so the evening feels seamless and stress-free.
Choosing the right wedding DJ makes all the difference.
At Dream Entertainment, our goal is to create an unforgettable celebration where everything flows smoothly and your guests stay on the dance floor.
